Like all wooden things, a little bit of care is required to ensure its longevity, but if you abide by these few rules you’ll have years upon years of high-quality use:

• Hand-wash only (no dishwasher) and let air dry
• Avoid soaking for long periods of time
• If the wood looks dry or feels rough, apply a food-grade oil (mineral oil is a fine choice, but any other oil or beeswax compound that doesn’t expire will work); if you’re into routine apply monthly
